A Warning To The Emerging Church12Aug

This interview with Bishop John Shelby Spong is a warning to those in the emerging church who believe the church should not exercise any judgement whatsoever and accept any/every view even if they disagree with it. This is precisely why the church has had to defend the faith since the beginning with people like Athanasius who stood contra mundum. Listen to this podcast carefully. Spong, with his incredible arrogance, is not the only contemporary individual who thinks like this. Listen and learn not only from Spong (the “trinitarian” who doesn’t believe God is a Trinity) but from the “interviewers” as well. Sigh.

Tough Questions For The Christian Church05Aug

I stumbled across this web site, apparently from one who has left the faith, entitled Tough Questions For The Christian Church. He actually has some pretty good questions in there. Not that we have all the answers, but the church should not be afraid to wrestle with the tough questions. Test Everything05Jan

Here’s a good example of why it’s imperative we test everything. This book, “Beyond Prediction: The Tarot and Your Spirituality” is recommended as a “resource” by missionalapologetics.com
(http://www.amazon.com/Beyond-Prediction-Tarot-Your-Spirituality/dp/0745950353/sr=1-1/qid=1168006659/ref=sr_1_1/105-7001910-5258847?ie=UTF8&s=books)

As I cautioned in an earlier blog (http://sojournhuntsville.org/blogs/bob_pratico/2006/12/27/truth_we_risk_spinning_our_wheels_or_miss_the_boat_all_together), We must test everything (1 John 4:1).

This other blog, “Stay Frosty” enforces the same idea:
