Initial meeting for the Blossomwood Journey Group at Rich & Linda’s house. Potluck supper at 6:30. Bring the kids. We will also be discussing the possibility of having an on-site baby sitter for those that have children. (This JG will be meeting Wed nights.)

Our vision of church involves only 2 weekly gatherings of believers:
- a large Sunday gathering for worship
- a small, intimate gathering during the week
That’s pretty much it. We want to ensure you have time to foster meaningful relationships with your neighbors and unbelievers.
Only a small percentage of Sojourners are currently participating in a Journey Group. But it’s in the Journey Groups that intimacy and ministry (both internal and external) occurs. Check out this < a href=http://revitalizeyourchurch.blogspot.com/2007/04/missional-small-groups.html>blog which talks about missional small groups. If you participate only during the large group Sunday morning worship, you are limiting your ability to establish deep, meaningful relationships - and to give and receive. Superficial interaction with your brothers and sisters in Christ is not following Jesus.

Jesus came to ignite a fire within you that would consume you and ignite you. Jesus the King came to fight for your heart. If He has won your heart, then to follow your heart will always lead you to follow the heart of God. He will always lead you to advance forward behind enemy lines to win the hearts of those who do not yet know Him or love Him.
