continue reading »I couldn’t wait any longer. I had a successful first hover with the Trex 600 in my driveway! It’s awesome!! The power and stability is phenomenal. My wife was watching. I have to admit that I backed away from it as it spooled up, it was so intimidating. I was thinking that I’d only spool it up. But as it came up to power and was so smooth … I just had to take her into flight. And so I brought her up into a stable hover. What an adrenaline rush! Two stable hovers on a Rotopod training gear with no crash.

Check out this cool Japanese rel="nofollow"> rel=”nofollow”>indoor helicopter competition. Watch the pilot starting at 2:08 into the video and finishing at 7:40. Phenomenally incredible skill. Apparently he gets all the way through this insanely difficult course and wins the grand cash prize (900,000 yen which I believe is roughly $7800 at today’s exchange rate.) Check out the person I assume to be his wife leaping with jubilance at 7:15 and crying for joy at 7:30 - deliriously happy I’m guessing because her husband finally won some $’s as opposed to buying never-ending expensive repair parts for his crashed helis.
