In my previous entry, I gave an introduction to an aspiration (or “vision”, in Christianbuzzwordese, I suppose) that’s been developing in my heart over the past few years. Before I turn to a little bit of personal history, and to other ruminations about the state of ministry, I’d like to make a post that’s really a disclaimer. Well, hopefully it’s a bit more interesting than just a disclaimer, but it’s some truths that are important for those of us whose brains work a certain way to not forget.

I had been planning to gradually change the general trend in subject matter of my blog from pure politics to more Christiany stuff, anyway, and in a fortuitous coincidence it happens that I just got set up to blog here on Sojourn’s site, so I may as well put this here instead of there. Moreover, it’s an interesting time for Sojourn’s youth ministry, so hopefully this personal reflection will be timely for the church as well as for me.
