Just sharing.
Sometimes I have those moments when I stare into oblivion and I can just see God, I can sense him when I look straight at the wall in front of me. It comes out of no where and this is just how the Lord can speak.
I pray that all may truly have a glimpse of who He is. The Lord is not a concept or an idea. I believe people think of him like this. I pray all will know him intimately as he intended.
My heart cries for all to not be afraid to connect with people. Just by asking “How’s your day been?” and be ginuinely interested and lend your ear. We’d all be suprised.
A mom has a kid. One of the strongest bonds I can imagine. imagine a lost kid never knowing his mom, all he knows is that is he was born into this world. He lives his life never knowing about this strong bond, he was seperated. It’s hard for him to ever imagine the existance of this bond. it’s a concept just an idea to him, hard to grasp. he sees it maybe among his other friends with their parents but this kid thinks he could never experience this extra-ordinary bond.
God is real and relational. I just think of Jesus on this Earth and how he came to restore the relationship he intended.
this is it, i am not the best theologian. i just wanted to write something. I hope all have a great week.

Thanks for sharing. Yes,
Thanks for sharing. Yes, God is real and relational. And He wants us to also be “real” (authentic) and relational.

Thanks…..mehndai. I just finished reading “To Own a Dragon” - Reflections on Growing up without a Father, by Donald Miller . In it…he describes what a struggle it has been for him to see God as his Father….fathers were always his friends’ fathers…not his…therefore God must be someone else’s father. He was “junk.”
I see so many kids that don’t have a father in the picture….or have such a limited relationship with thier father that they have the same struggle. They are very vulnerable to a spirit of rebellion against authority. Most of the skateboarders that I skate with have no father or no strong father figure in thier life. Many of the adult skateboarders are good and strong people, but they have had very difficult lives involving by drugs and rebellion.
Donald Miller gives the following stats:
__________________________63% of youth suicides are from fatherless homes
85% of all children who show behavior disorders come from fatherless homes
80% of rapists with anger problems come from fatherless homes
71% of all high school dropouts come from fatherless homes
75% of all adolescent patients in chemical abuse centers come from fatherless homes
70% of youths in state-operated institutions come from fatherless homes
85% of all youths in prison come from fatherless homes
“I believe in you, Peter Pan.”
