I am just an average girl with an amazing God. I was never that brave, never really outgoing, usually was afraid of new situations. I often times would try to hide who I really was in order to fit into a crowd. I was probably on a road that was going to look mundane and ordinary, but God. God had extraordinary plans for me, and I am pretty sure He had them in mind from my mother’s womb. He rescued me from the monotony of existence with out Him to a great joy and peace in Him. He set my life on a whirlwind adventure as a missionary in Korea and in Germany. I was given the great joy of sharing my life in Christ with teens on many continents.

After my world wide adventure of 5 plus years God brought me back to Huntsville. He let me continue in youth ministry and then he changed my focus. In the past couple of years I have fallen in love with writing the truths that God places on my heart. I love to study His word and then to communicate what He teaches me through teaching and writing. I have been able to use some of these gifts here in Sojourn. It is always a blessing to be able to serve through the gifts and passions that God gives.

Sojourn has been an oasis for me and my husband. We love being a part of an authentic community of ordinary folks called out by an extraordinary God to live extraordinary lives. We love being real. We love being able to go to worship and know that God will move. He will teach. He will be glorified. We also love that being a Sojourner is not just a Sunday event, it is every day. Every day I know that I am in this journey with other Sojourners who I can call for crisis or for just plain fun. I have been so blessed by God through the Sojourn community. I stand amazed that He has invited us into this moment.

Many blessings to you!

I can’t seem to get past the idea of Christ in you, the hope of glory. I wrote this little poem about it as the Lord inspired me this moring. Hope you find it meaningful.

blessings, Judy Webb

Glory Calls me forward

Glory calls me forward
It is within my reach
Just beyond the next accomplishment

Glory calls me forward
Trophies to win
Medals to drape around my neck
Be better than the rest

Glory calls me forward
Grades to attain, top of my class
Respect, acknowledgment
yellow chords that make me stand out
Take my picture now

Glory calls me forward
Scholarships, invitations, chosen, wanted
An open mind filled with knowledge
Degrees, honors, more yellow chords

Glory calls me
I hear it calling, A great job offer
Money, cars, house, a spouse
Time to climb to the top of my field

Glory calls me forward
It still is calling
Tired weary
60 hours a week, on the job
house is a mess
wife is neglected.

Can you hear glory calling?

Here is a poem that God gave to me last year. It is a sweet look at who Jesus is based on the I Am statements in John. Hope you enjoy it.

I Am
by Judy Webb

The Word became Flesh
Alive, In touch
The Word became Flesh
Among us, Now in Us

The Messiah, Salvation
Rescue from sin
Messiah, Salvation
Our peace deep within

The Light of the World
Exposing the darkness
Light of the World
Revealing God

Bread of Life
Satisfaction, Fulfillment
Bread of Life, Delicious and sweet
Bread of Life to meet every need

The Gate
To the kingdom of God
The Gate
Beauty adorned
Heavenly desire is born

The Good Shepherd
Strength and provision
The Good Shepherd
Nurture with vision

The Resurrection and Life
An empty grave, Death is defeated
The Resurrection and the Life
Eternity conceived, For those who believe

The Way
Unique, Only
Narrow and few
The Way
Fellowship with God
For those who would choose

The Truth
Nothing False, Complete and whole
