It is finally here: Libronix Bible Software for the Macintosh. I have been waiting several years Logos/Libronix to come out for Mac. I have heard that the founder of Libronix used to be a Microsoft whiz-kid. Must have been like virtual treason to give love to the dark side. Then again, “supply and demand” has a loud voice.
The only reason that I have Windows XP on my Mac is so I can boot up the PC version of Libronix. We will check out the bugs, but I hope that I do not have to click on Parallels anymore.
It is powerful program for scholars and laymen. You can download the program at www.macbiblesoftware.com.

Well, don’t get your hopes up too much. It took them 3 years to launch this ’Alpha’ and it will likely not hit the streets anytime soon.

I loaded it up last night…
I loaded it up last night… after spending 45 minutes on trying to figure out how to get my “unlocked” books over I was able to run the ESV, KJV, and Strong’s Concordance. One thing I am missing is the Englishman’s Greek Concordance.
Here are my thoughts…
1. The load process plus the book copy program was difficult to work with. It took a while (See Above) to figure out if my unlocked books had been copied over. My library did pop up eventually and I was able to read and search.
2. It still needs a huge amount of work. Most MAC programs are intuitive for those with limited MAC experience. LOGOS… not so much. Even the Windows side is hard to configure. Might be due to the amount of features.
3. One of the simple features I love about Logos is the ability to link books and commentaries as you change text. I also like the fact you can save various desktop configurations. If toy are studying multiple topics each topic can have its own load setup.
my 2 cents… it will be interesting to watch the LOGOS Newsgroups.
