First, I want to thank everyone at Sojourn for praying on my behalf and looking out for my beautiful wife and kids at the gathering yesterday. Here is content from an email I sent to loved ones…
I am sitting in the Kigali Airport processing and thanking God for all the greatness of His Name! As I mentioned in previous prayer requests I purposed to train Church Planters and leaders in Kigali, Rwanda over the last two days. I was overjoyed and excited when we saw a total of 85 people coming, that represented 18 churches and 3 Universities. This training was made up of mostly young people who are hungry for God to move in Rwanda.
We trained them on the importance of catching a Global, God-sized vision and how God wants to send them out from Rwanda to all peoples of the earth (Psalm 96). We challenged them to make disciples, who make disciples, who make disciples based on Timothy 2:2 with Paul and Timothy’s relationship. Ultimately, we finalized the day by asking them to raise up a team for a new church to be established in Kigali.
One of the segments of the program is to do a 1-hour ’training’ in Evangelism. We equip them with evangecubes and release them to the streets. Because of the nature of our training, they had Friday night and also on Saturday to share the gospel. When we arrived on Saturday, we asked them to go out again for 15 minutes. I decided to go out with a local believer. I was able to share with 2 young men; one of them was a Muslim and the other was a man who appeared to not be interested. I focused my attention primarily on Saiid, who was the Muslim. He said he believed in Jesus, which is a typical Muslim response, but could not worship Him as God. I explained how Jesus was fully God, yet fully man. It was a great conversation and he thanked me for speaking with him. I got his email address and promised to follow-up with him.
In all, we rejoiced in 78 new followers of Jesus through this time of evangelism. I am always amazed at how God is powerful and mighty to save.
Finally, I was invited to preach at a church that is also a home for boys that are street kids. As I understand it, most of their parents either died in the genocide or their mom is a prostitute and can’t care for them. I greatly anticipated this morning with the divine opportunity to preach a message of hope to these boys. In all, there were over 350 people at church today. To see them praise and sing songs to Jesus will make you weep. I got up to preach and shared with them about the risen Savior; how Jesus is alive today and wants to give each of them a hope, plan, and purpose for their lives. When we come back in June we are planning on working with this church to help evangelize, disciple and bless their people.
I can’t say thank you enough for praying for this trip. God was clearly at work on this trip.
Please continue to pray for the team that is going to be partnering with me in June. We are in great need of finances so that many of them can come and share the gospel.

Great, GREAT news, Dave. I
Great, GREAT news, Dave. I am thrilled to hear of the harvest. The most recent podcast is about how God is Lord of the Capture. Take a look at the first half of John 21. God not only invites us to be fishers of men, but He leads us to them and them to us.
Thanks for stoking our fire here in Huntsvegas.

Rich,
If you call me DK, I would consider it a worthy and admirable nickname, lots of friends call me that because of the commonality of David.
It was great hanging at your house tonight and hearing everyones stories of Jesus. I love that about Him. Have a great trip and see you in a few weeks.
