With the powerful testimony still on my mind that Cindy shared this past Wednesday at Journey Group, here’s a related post from Dan Kimball last summer on A day at the Gay Parade with (his) very heavy computer bag. As he ponders,

“But, at the same time as I sit here now - am excited about what if we as a church did really pray for people, and did not hide in our Christian little sub-cultures. There were thousands of people here on a Sunday morning , who weren’t in church meetings happening at the same time. Can’t we do something about all this? How will a church be Jesus to our community and those outside of our churches, gay, straight, whatever people are. But there is such a disconnect between people and most of our churches today.”

Amen.
